About Us: The HeyDad Story

I didn’t plan on starting a clothing brand. I just wanted underwear that didn’t try to kill me.

After serving in the U.S. Navy during the Gulf War, something changed. My skin turned into a hyper-alert alarm system.
One wrong product, the wrong detergent, lotion, or fabric and boom: full rash mode.

Even switching to “gentle” laundry soaps didn’t fix it. The problem wasn’t the soap.
It was the clothes themselves.

The Turning Point

Cotton became my safe zone.
Then I discovered something even more true: not all cotton is equal.

White, dye-free cotton?
Game changer.
My skin calmed down. My comfort came back. Life went from “itchy nightmare” to “I can finally breathe again.”
